Carrick Resilience Team

When severe weather hits, every second counts. During the storms of early 2025, we saw how vital it is to have the right contact details at your fingertips, especially when the power goes out or internet access becomes unreliable.

This page is a dedicated “one-stop-shop” for South Ayrshire residents. It contains the essential numbers for the Council, utility providers, and local crisis support.

How to use this page:

  • Bookmark it now: Save this page to your mobile browser favourites.
  • Screenshot it: Take a picture of these numbers so you can access them even if you lose your 4G/5G signal.
  • Print a copy: Keep a physical copy with your “Storm Essentials” or near your fuse box.

Staying prepared isn’t just about your own home—it’s about looking out for our neighbours. Use these links to report faults, track power restoration, and stay safe.

Welfare & Preparedness Checklist

  • Neighbour Check: Check on vulnerable neighbours before a storm peaks.
  • Priority Services Register: If you are elderly or rely on medical equipment, call 105 or use the link above to register for priority help during outages.
  • Storm Essentials: Have a torch (with batteries), a charged power bank, 3 litres of water per person, and essential meds ready.
  • Communication: Keep a battery-powered radio for local news if the internet fails. Keep a note of key contact information and friends and family’s numbers if your mobile wasn’t to be working.
