Carrick Resilience Team

Who We Are
Carrick Resilience Team is a volunteer-led community resilience and incident support organisation based in Carrick, South Ayrshire. Available 24/7/365, the team responds to a variety of different emergency situations along with the statutory emergency services across the region’s varied coastal, moorland, and farmland terrain. This includes all corners of Carrick and on occasion the wider South & East Ayrshire.
Carrick Resilience Team works alongside the statutory emergency services to extend their reach into areas and situations where specialist resources are needed and help to bring an incident to a close more quickly and safer for all involved. Beyond emergency response, the team plays an active role in community engagement — attending events, delivering talks, supporting beach cleans, and building the local resilience network. With a growing fleet of specialist vehicles, including an Isuzu D-Max response vehicle and an Argo XTV, plus a DJI Matrice 30T thermal imaging drone, Carrick Resilience Team brings a level of capability that punches well above what you’d expect from a local team.
We have a dedicated Facebook page that we use for regular updates, please give us a like and follow.

Equipment

Isuzu D-Max Pickup
The Isuzu pickup is Carrick Resilience Team’s primary response vehicle, preloaded and ready to deploy at all times. It carries a stretcher, defibrillator, scene spotlights, beacons and other essential equipment. It’s the team’s everyday workhorse – getting personnel and kit to the scene quickly across South Ayrshire’s rural roads and tracks.

Argo Aurora 950 SAR XT
The Argo Aurora 950 SAR XT is an 8-wheel drive Extreme Terrain Vehicle (XTV) and can be fitted with tracks for the toughest terrain. It carries up to 4 personnel or 2 plus our Titanium Basket Stretcher. Fitted with beacons and additional external storage to get to the scene with any equipment and personnel needed.

DJI Matrice 30T Thermal Imaging Drone
The DJI Matrice 30T is a professional-grade dual-sensor drone carrying both a high-resolution optical camera and a thermal imaging camera, making it highly effective for locating missing persons in low light, poor visibility, or challenging terrain where a ground search would be slow or dangerous.

Titanium Basket Stretcher
Carrick Resilience Team carries a titanium rescue stretcher paired with a litter wheel and handles — a lightweight yet exceptionally strong casualty handling platform built for technical rescue environments. The titanium frame offers outstanding strength-to-weight performance, while rated to handle the most demanding rescue scenarios. It’s designed to perform in virtually any conditions, with four-point bridle compatibility meaning it can be used in rope or aerial recovery if required. Combined with the litter wheel for ground movement and the Argocat for off-road casualty transport.
